BigBear.ai announced that the company has appointed Tony Barrett as president of the cyber and engineering sector.
In this role, Barrett will drive the federal market growth of BigBear.ai by developing and deploying technical expertise and innovative solutions in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), cybersecurity and agile development to gain new business, while providing top-notch customer service.
Previously, Barrett was Senior Vice President of the Cybersecurity and Engineering Integrated Defense Solutions Business Unit for BigBear.ai, serving the United States Air Force and the United States Air Force. Department of Homeland Security. Earlier in his career, Barrett served more than two decades in the Marine Corps in intelligence as an intelligence analyst and officer.
In Barrett’s 11 years since retiring from the Marines, he has applied the principles of leadership, planning, and decision-making learned in peacetime and combat to achieve the business goals of Modus Operandi and PCI, as BigBear. ai acquired in 2021. In less than three years at PCI, he played a pivotal role in winning new business, quadrupling revenue and headcount, and serving the Department of Defense.
