Monash University Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences Research Paper Named 2021 AASHE Sustainability Prize Finalist


Individuals and higher education institutions who inspire continuous progress towards environmental, social and economic health

The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) announced that a team of researchers in medicine, nursing and health sciences working to integrate sustainable health care into the Health Professions Education was nominated as a finalist for an AASHE 2021 Sustainability Award in the Campus Sustainability Research Category, recognizing outstanding scholarships in higher education.

The AASHE Sustainability Awards provide global recognition to individuals and organizations leading the movement for higher education sustainability. With the help of volunteer judges, this program increases the visibility of high impact projects, pioneering research and student leadership that help disseminate innovations and inspire continued progress towards environmental, social and economic health.

The outstanding individuals and institutions recognized as finalists were selected based on overall impact, innovation, stakeholder involvement, clarity and other criteria specific to each award category. The winners will be celebrated at a virtual awards ceremony on Thursday, December 9 at noon Eastern Time.
